This little doll was nothing but smiles; it was almost too easy capturing gorgeous photos on this sunny Fall day in Calgary! And if you’re ever wondering what to wear for photos; this is a perfect example of mixing colours, textures and patterns for a “coordinated not matching” ensemble.
Can you feel the joy radiating from these two parents-to-be?
From their gorgeous engagement session, to their beautiful wedding, and now the excitement of expecting their first babe, these two have been so much fun to work with. It’s easy to capture their genuine happiness, always smiling at each other and bursting into real laughter.

Calgary Maternity Session
My beautiful friend married the love of her life on boxing day. An intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family; my favourite kind. On a crisp, sunny winter day, they braved the cold for these gorgeous portraits. I’m so glad they did 🙂

Steph & Sebastian have that ease between them of a couple who not only love each other, but are each others’ best friend. I knew right away at their engagement session that they would be a breeze to work with. Their smiles are genuine; their laughs frequent. Azuridge is a stunning venue, and the Autumn colours were lit up by the sunshine and joy of their friends and family celebrating their commitment.

Wedding at Azuridge
This gorgeous wedding all took place in downtown Calgary. We’re lucky to have such beautiful parks that look and feel nothing like a busy city. Scouting out great photo locations always gets me super excited about the wedding, not that I needed any help being excited for this one. I shot the bride’s sister’s wedding last year and had no doubt that this day would be just as perfectly organized (both brides are teachers – teachers make the best brides!) and full of wonderful people.
I was not disappointed. The whole day day went by without so much as a hiccup, and the people surrounding this couple were fun and kind, and so obviously thrilled to witness Vanessa & Shawn commit to each other in marriage.
Getting to know my clients and their families, and seeing familiar faces at weddings makes my already-amazing job even more meaningful. It truly was an honour to document this beautiful day.

I had the honour of capturing Luke & Lisa’s beautiful Kootenay wedding a few weeks back.
We started photos in the morning to avoid the sweltering heat of late July, then everyone had time to relax before the ceremony. Luke says this is the way to go, his morning nerves were long gone by the time their evening ceremony began.
We shot at the his family’s farm in Pass Creek… no pun intended, Luke and Lisa are avid hunters and photos of the guys in the hunting blind was Luke’s only photo request. The property also has a beautiful waterfall which was perfect for photos, as you’ll see. The timeline of the day was so smart, just as we were finishing photos around noon it was getting really hot, close to 30, but by the 6pm ceremony the sun was behind the mountain so everyone was comfortable, not sweating through the ‘I do’s.
Luke & Lisa want to extend a big thank you to Katrina and Ed Conroy for letting us take photos at their farm.
Thanks for making me part of your big day,

When clients say they’re going to elope I get extra excited to photograph their wedding.
Since Bruno and I eloped, I’m especially fond of these simple, intimate weddings – just two people making vows to each other.
Nick and Carrie had been planning to elope for a while, and had even told family and friends.. but they said they were getting married this fall. So their trip to Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, was top secret. AND THEN they kept the news to themselves for a whole month after that, until they were together with their families for the big reveal. Holy moly.
The rain stopped, Carrie and Nick said their vows beside the Kicking Horse River, and the sun came out.
They chose the Natural Bridge location for photos – if you’ve never been, you have to check it out, it’s incredible.
It’s always an honour to document two people’s commitment to one another, but especially so knowing that they are trusting you to capture the images they will use to share the day with their loved ones.
